Since the initial ‘Ride for Hope’ event in 2005, Odyssey Aviation has been a major supporter, and the RFH has become, the primary charity, which we intend to support in 2011
We consider it a privilege, to be the first company representing the new category of ‘Presenting Sponsor’. Our participation to the RFH since its inception is well documented; our team has provided assistance and support receiving and loading bikes into shipping containers at our facility at the airport, in addition to helping with unloading and loading of containers at the event site. Over the prior six years, our entire organization has looked forward to this inspiring and uplifting occasion.
We hope that other companies will also get involved, not only is it great fun! It’s a fantastic way to build teamwork, connect and forge stronger relationships with employees, customers and friends. In addition, it helps us to bond with our own families and the wider Bahamian community, all whilst actively saving lives and consequently, benefiting us all!
Of course the most compelling reason is we know ALL of the funds raised go to the fight against cancer in the Bahamas!!
The funds raised are actively helping those fighting cancer and not just the patients, and their families, but also supporting organizations in the vital early detection & screening programs; it’s also funding the important research. This approach is attacking this dreadful disease from all directions, and without a doubt consequently providing hope to many Bahamians lives.

The event great exposure for the Bahamas as a whole; encouraging visitors & locals alike to visit Eleuthera, rent homes, stay in hotels, eat out at restaurants, use various transportation methods boats, airplanes & ferries all in all providing a great boost to Eleuthera’s economy.
And Odyssey Aviation is also giving exposure to the ‘Ride For Hope’ (And the Bahamas) Through our i-Pad raffle, at recent NBAA Business Aviation Conferences in the USA, Savannah Georgia last week, and 16th & 17th February at this week’s NBAA Regional Conference in Boca Raton, and also Bahamas Day on Saturday 19th in Orlando.
“For many years Odyssey has contributed to a vast number of local charities and persons in need, rarely do we get the opportunity to support and work with such a well organized and operated non-profit organization as the Ride for Hope group. We are indeed grateful and humbled by the amount of work and effort that goes into the organization of an event of this magnitude and are pleased to have the ability to be the Presenting Sponsor of such an outstanding event”
